How My Experience Best Positions Me to Serve as the District Attorney of Cache County

Over the course of my 44-year career, I have been licensed to practice law in 3 state court systems, and before 6 federal trial and appellate courts. I currently lead the law firm of Daines, Thomas & Smith, LLP with 5 attorneys and 5 support staff, and have done so continuously for the past 15 years. Legal education in our nation's capital during the 1970s and subsequent decades of legal experience have infused me with deep commitment to constitutional principles and firm devotion to the rule of law.

I treasure my role as an attorney.  It is deeply rewarding to serve by giving well-seasoned counsel, well-honed advocacy, and well-practiced leadership. If the Republican Party of Cache County will allow me the honor, I will turn my full-time professional energy and attention to leading the office of the District Attorney of Cache County with integrity, striving every day to be worthy of that trust.
