Chris Daines
for District Attorney

About Me
After finishing law school at George Washington University in D.C., I was licensed to practice law in Utah and Idaho in 1981. Throughout my 44-year career, my private practice has focused on civil litigation including appellate work. I practiced for five years in Logan, then twelve years in Houston and returned to Logan in 1997. I currently lead the law firm of Daines, Thomas & Smith, LLP and have done so for the past 15 years.
I have been a firm conservative beginning in 1977 when I took my first macroeconomics class at USU. I've been active in the Republican Party, including serving as a delegate to the state Republican conventions in 2002 and 2016. I reflexively believe in conserving taxpayer funds and in promoting constitutional order and the rule of law.
